
Unit 303 - Principles and Values
This unit provides learners with the understanding, knowledge and skills required to work to the values and principles in health and social care within the boundaries of their own role and responsibilities. It will provide an understanding of relevant legislation, guidelines and standards and the importance of working in an inclusive way.
Upon completion of this unit, the learner will:

Be able to establish consent when providing care or support

Understand how duty of care contributes to safe practice

Be able to support positive risk taking for individuals

Be able to implement and promote active participation, collaboration and wellbeing

Our blended learning approach means you have the flexibility to build your knowledge at a pace that works you via our online portfolio of learning materials. Whilst any practical training requirements can be delivered at one of our Training Centres in Antrim, Armagh, Ballymena, Banbridge, Belfast, Newtownabbey, Dublin and Monaghan. Alternatively, we can deliver the practical training within your workplace, or any other suitable venue in Northern Ireland (NI) or the Republic of Ireland.
