Last Tuesday was certainly different to any other breakfast routine! Why? Because, last Tuesday Last week we officially launched the STEER way of training and developing the workforce within Health and Social Care!
With talks from The Lord Mayor, Cllr Mealla Campbell of ABC Council, Suzi Gray, Technical Advisor from City and Guilds and of course, our very own Kimberley Neill-McCready, Commercial Manager, we had a jam-packed morning at the Armagh City Hotel.
Health and Social Care is a vital sector, and it’s one that transform the lives of so many within the community. But, it is a sector that faces many challenges:
· Increased demand
· Recruitment and retention of staff
· Societal perception of careers within the industry
· Increased need to upskill workforce in specialised areas
At Steer Training Aacdemy, we recognise these issues and we were absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to showcase our plans that are aimed towards addressing these challenges with our fresh, accessible, affordable and flexible blended training approach that works around today’s busy Learners and their organisations!
We would like to say a huge thank you to our guest speakers for their kind support. And, of course to the service providers, local business owners and industry bodies who made our Launch such a success!
We look forward to connecting with you all in our joint commitment to professional development, to career progression and to lifelong learning within an industry that makes a real difference to so many people every single day!
